Uria lomvia, Auk egg
Description:
A thick-billed murre (Uria lomvia lomvia) egg collected from Grimsey, Northern Iceland in June 1948. It was originally collected by W.F. Palsson who noted that incubation had started before collection. Palsson also noted the egg "was on turf covered ledge of a sea cliff. No lining under egg, just the turf."
