Uria aalge, Auk egg
Description:
A common murre (Uria aalge aalge) egg collected from Grimsey, Northern Iceland in June 1948. It was originally collected by W.F. Palsson who noted that incubation had started before collection. He also noted it was "placed on a ledge of a sea cliff, no lining under egg." The parent had been observed sitting on the egg. Later acquired by Ernest Cutts.
