Description:
Watercolor on paper illustrating a woman bending over to retrieve an unseen object from the ground. She is wearing a red blouse tucked into a full, blue skirt and bends away from the viewer. The coloring of the ground and foliage suggest it is autumn. Ball has used a mix of wet and dry brush techniques with warm and cool hues. White opaque paint was used to correct a region directly to the right of the figure.
