untitled (Tree Overlooking the River)

Description:

Oil landscape painting on canvas illustrating a single tree on an embankment leaning left, framing the view of a river whose shore is composed of red sand. The foliage of the tree is conveyed using blocks of solid, cool hues. The spaces between the branches and leaves through which the sky is visible are conveyed using a flat brush. While the tree and embankment are predominantly cool in hue, the marsh soil is warm hued.
