Description:

Watercolor on newsprint of a landscape study. A road lined with trees covered with spanish moss recedes into the center distance. All of the strokes are made with the same shade of light reddish brown. The paint is applied very thickly. A person appears to be crossing the road in the middle distance. This is a second study that Ball painted of the same scene, (see 1975.32.221).
