Description:
Watercolor on paper of an art show displayed on a sidewalk as various people pass by to view the pieces hanging on a fence. The subjects vary in age and all wear bright, solid colored garments with one figure painted in a Japanese straw hat. The image is given texture by the technique of application, dry brush. The image is painted on hot pressed watercolor paper. It appears to be a study for the watercolor (see 1975.32.158).
