untitled, (Sailboats on the Water)

Description:
Watercolor on illustrator board of a waterscape featuring twenty-two sailboats. They appear to be manned with the figures represented by yellow dots. Six of the sails have colored stripes with the remaining all white. The lack of outlines causes the furthest boats to fade into the background. The application of paint is thin, and the board seemed to absorb the pigment in some places, evidenced by the lack of crisp strokes. The image is predominantly cool in hue with only the red sails and hints of red and yellow in the water in warm hues.
