Description:
Watercolor study on paper of a covered market, (see 1975.32.161). Rows of green produce or flowers are laid out where passersby admire them. All of the figures are conveyed in a navy silhouette. Three openings are visible in the upper half of the painting. Through the outer two yellow and orange rays of sun light are visible. Through the central opening there appear to be crowds.
