untitled (Copper Bucket Still Life, unfinished)

Contact The Charleston Museum for image use and credit instructions.

Description:

Watercolor on illustrator board of a still life containing a brass or copper bucket, a tin or ceramic pitcher, and three pieces of fruit. The bucket's opening faces away from the viewer. The pitcher stands upright and partially blocks the bucket and one of the pieces of produce. The objects sit on a dark blue and purple surface, which makes their shadows on the right side difficult to see. Ball has used the wet-in-wet technique.
