untitled (A Nighttime Road)

Contact The Charleston Museum for image use and credit instructions.

Description:

Watercolor on paper depicting a night scene of a path or dirt road conveyed in a navy colored landscape leading to a small structure lit from within. The light from the building reaches the path immediately in front. The dark pines are silhouetted against a night sky and there are no stars. The pigment is applied in a wet-in-wet technique causing there to be no crisp lines separating strokes.
