Description:

Photograph of various officers, chaplains, and military personnel seated at a large dining table in the dining room at the Joseph Manigault House. The dining room was usually set up as the "den room" where sofas, game tables for cards and puzzles and a phonograph with records were stationed, although for this particular occasion, it appears to have been transformed back to its original use.

During World War II The Charleston Museum leased the Joseph Manigault House to the National Catholic Community Service, Inc., an Agency of the United Service Organization. Peg Drennan served as the Director from 1943-1944.
