Description:

Black and white photograph of the corner of Calhoun Street at East Bay. Schwartz took the photograph from East Bay, overlooking DuPuis Pure Oil Service Station (474 East Bay), to focus on (right to left) 41, 39, 37 Calhoun Street, known locally as the "Three Sisters." The Willis Johnson, Sr. House (35 Calhoun) can be seen on the extreme left and the two story house to the extreme right is addressed as 342 East Bay (now occupied by Lyles & Lyles Attys. at Law). The Burger & Beer joint (41 Calhoun) on the corner has an advertisement for Ballentine Beer hanging in the window. All three buildings in the center have long since been torn down.
