Description:
Black ink etching on paper depicting the busy Baroque square officially known as Piazza Vigliena. Clements focused on the east side of the Baroque building representing the Kalsa district, winter season. The statues of one of the four Spanish kings of Sicily, King Philip III and the Palermo patron, Saint Agata are visible on the third and fourth floor niches. See AZ 184 for Ellen Day Hale's depiction of the same scene. Gift of the artist.
