Description:

One of five least or St. Domingo grebe eggs (see CBE8855 - CBE8859). Armstrong described the eggs as freshly laid and the nest as "composed of decayed matter floating in freshwater, in pond, near town." Identification of the egg was made by observing the nearby parents. Later acquired by Ernest Tabor.
