Synthliboramphus hypoleucus, Auk egg
Description:
One of two Guadalupe murrelet (Synthliboramphus hypoleucus) eggs collected from the Los Coranados Islands in Mexico (see CBE1827-CBE1828). Original collector L.M. Huey, noted them as having been freshly laid at the time of collection in a nest discovered under a bush. He also wrote "single egg (lightest colored) found 5-27-16 under bush, no bird incubating. On returning, 5-29-16, two eggs were in the nest with no bird inclubating." Later acquired by Ernest Cutts.
