Synthliboramphus antiquus, Murrelet egg

An ancient murrelet (Synthliboramphus antiquus) egg collected from Sanak Island in the South Central District of Alaska. Collector C. Littlejohn took the freshly laid egg from a nest he noted as "on ground, under bunch of rank, dry, matted grass, and was a slight excavation lined with blades of fine, soft, dry grass." Later acquired by Arthur Trezevant Wayne.
