State Street

Description:

Black and white photograph of two buildings located at the corner of State and Queen Streets. Paine set his camera up in the middle of the street to capture 30 State and 8 Queen Street and in doing so was also able to photograph three children seen in the right, lower corner. A young boy stands in front of a young girl sitting on a wooden box cradling a baby. A painted label can be seen to the left of the door facing State Street that reads, "Colored lunc[h]."
