Description:
Leather shot pouch formed in a "full pancake" mold, the exterior of which is embossed with a hunting scene decoration (on both sides) depicting a rabbit and several pheasants hung by their feet. A patent inside charger with a patent spring is attached at the neck and only one strap ring can be found attached to the bottom of the swell as it was customary to carry the shot pouch charger-end-down. The piece is also stamped at the throat: "2 1/2 LBS" indicating how much teh pouch would weigh when filled with lead shot.
