Description:

Photograph of various horse-drawn carriages, automobiles, and pedestrians on Bull Street in Savannah, Georgia. Paine set his camera up in Johnson Square to capture the scene. Note the absence of the 50 foot marble monument honoring General Nathanael Greene. It had been removed to intern his remains and that of his son, George Washington Greene. The monument honoring William Washington Gordon in Wright Square can be seen in the distance.
