One of three black-legged kittiwake (Rissa tridactyla tridactyla) eggs (see CBE8899 - CBE8901) collected by Marsden for W. Raine. Raine noted the eggs were freshly laid at the time of collection and that they had been found in a nest of seaweed on the ledge of a sea cliff. They were later acquired by Ernest Tabor.
