Description:

A Cassin's auklet egg collected from the Farrallon Islands, off the coast of San Francisco. The original collector, Horry Taylor noted the egg was freshly laid in a burrow and was "a second laying of the auk probably, judging by the date." He also noted his identification came from the parent that was incubating it at the time of collection. Later acquired by Alexander Sprunt.
