Description:
One powder horn made from natural cow horn boiled and flattened. The piece is equipped with an ivory plug, hand-carved in the shape of an acorn and inserted at the spout which is hand-carved as well and non-adjustable. There is a walnut base attached at the horn's end with four small tacks. The initials and date of "F.J. P. 1870" is carved or burned into the horn at the base.
