Description:

One of seven pied-billed grebe (Podilymbus podiceps podiceps) eggs (see CBE8860 - CBE8866). Originally collected for O. L. Bullis who noted incubation had only slightly begun at time of collection and described the nest as "composed of moss and mud on shallow water in marsh." Later acquired by Ernest Tabor.
