The entire group is in front of the club house at the Santee Gun Club (formerly Blake's Plantation). The photographer has printed on the bottom, "Santee House Party of Charleston Meeting A.A.M. Santee Gun Club."

The conference coincided with the 150th Anniversary of the founding of The Charleston Museum and then Director, Laura Bragg arranged for tours of various sights and plantations around the Lowcountry.
