Photograph of a basket maker in the process of coiling or sewing a basket during the 18th annual American Association of Museums meeting in Charleston. Curry took the image on the Santee Gun Club (formerly Blake's Plantation) and noted on reverse "Basket maker Santee."

The meeting coincided with the 150th Anniversary of the founding of The Charleston Museum and then Director, Laura Bragg arranged for tours of various sights and plantations around the Lowcountry.
