Color photograph of the empty first floor gallery in the old Charleston Museum on 121 Rutledge Avenue. When this image was taken, almost everything had been moved to the new Museum building on 360 Meeting Street. Some exhibit cases are still on the floor and the mural funded by the Civil Works Administration (CWA) can be seen in the background.One of the mural panels William Halsey painted of Charleston is visible to the right.
