Description:
Color photograph of the mural funded by the Civil Works Administration (CWA) in the old Charleston Museum on 121 Rutledge Avenue. Measuring 76 feet by 20 feet, it was painted by local artists and illustrated the Charleston peninsula and surrounding areas. When this image was taken, almost everything had been moved to the new Museum building on 360 Meeting Street. Note the wall and plaster deterioration in lower right corner.
