Black ink etching on paper depicting a woman seated holding an infant. Verner illustrated her looking down with a loving look at her charge. Anna Wells Rutledge identified the baby as Frances Rutledge Cheshire, daughter of Theophilus P. and Frances Rutledge Cheshire. Gift of the artist.
