Description:

Two samples of marl (GR830a) consisting of clay-mud chunks from the Edisto formation, Miocene horizon and (GR380b) consisting of pebbles, nodules, siliceous and phosphatic from the Ashley formation, Upper Oligocene horizon. Both were were collected from the west bank of the Ashley River at Bees Ferry (Drayton Station), c.1900.
