Description:
Photograph of the exhibits on the first floor galleries at the old Charleston Museum. Julien focused on the Egyptian display on the lower main hall but managed to capture a Civil Works Administration (CWA) artist on scaffolding in the background.
The CWA funded local artists, under the supervision of Robert N.S. Whitelaw, to paint a large mural of the city, including cartouches to each side illustrating historic events.
