Description:

Photograph of artist, Faith Murray, painting the background mural for the Medway Duck Group exhibit at the old Charleston Museum. The glass case was 10 x 14 feet in size and was sponsored by Gertrude Sanford Legendre Weeks of Medway Plantation and her husband (at the time), Dr. Carnes Weeks. When finished, the exhibit contained seven taxidermied ducks in full flight against a handpainted background depicting the landscape at Medway Plantation.

The exhibit was designed and created by artist, Faith Murray and the Museum's cabinetmaker, Homer Peeler, in cooperation with the American Museum of Natural History in New York.
