Photograph looking north on King Street from the vicinity of Wentworth Street. Businesses identified are the Lerner Shops (275 King), South Carolina Power Co. (276 King), as well as a sign advertising the Masonic Temple (located around the corner on Wentworth Street). See MK 1440 for an image Paine shot from the same location 9 years prior to this one. He notes his camera settings on reverse, "Mentor Folding Reflex 9x12. 6 Carl Zeiss-S.S. Plenacrome-B.S. F16. 1/30th Focus on Glass Top."
