Black and white photograph looking north on King Street from the vicinity of Wentworth Street. Businesses identified are the Lerner Shops (275 King), South Carolina Power Co. (276 King), as well as a sign advertising the Masonic Temple (located around the corner on Wentworth Street). See MK 1440 for an image Paine shot from the same location 9 years prior to this one. He notes his camera settings on reverse, "Mentor Folding Reflex 9x12. 6 Carl Zeiss-S.S. Plenacrome-B.S. F16. 1/30th Focus on Glass Top."
