Description:

Sepia toned photograph of King Street looking north from the corner of Hasell Street. Paine set his camera up in the street to capture the busy street scene. The King Street-Citadel route bus is prominently visible moving toward the photographer. Pedestrians are walking along the sidewalk and automobiles are diagonally parked on the east side. F. W. Woolworth Co. (259 King) and Frierson's Drugs (261 King) can be seen on the left with R.E. Martin's Shoe Store (256 King) and the sign for St. Johannes Evangelical Lutheran Church (located around the corner on 48 Hasell Street) visible on the right.
