Description:

Photograph looking north on King Street from the vicinity of Wentworth Street. The domed building of the old Hirsch-Israel Co. (left) housed the Peoples First National Bank (275-277 King) at the time this photograph was taken. Hunley's Pharmacy (272 King) can be seen across the street (to the right) along with a branch of the South Carolina Power Company (276 King). The Francis Marion Hotel (387 King) is visible in the distance. Various automobiles, bicycles and pedestrians fill the street. Paine noted on reverse, "King St. Leica Camera. Super-Pan Film.
