King Street

Description:

Photograph of King Street looking north from Hasell Street. Paine set his camera up in the middle of the street to capture the scene of horse-drawn wagons, trolleys and pedestrians all moving along the brick pavement and sidewalks. The buildings are decorated with American flags with banners advertising for the "Alabama Headquarters" the "Florida Headquarters" and the "Hagood's Brigade Headquarters" are visible spanning the width of the street. Paine noted on reverse, "The Confederate Reunion week Photo by M.B. Paine Jr. Chas S.C."
