Joseph Legare House, 75 Anson Street

Photograph of the curved stairway leading to the entrance of the Joseph Legare House on Anson Street. The photographer captured a small child sitting on one of the steps. Handwritten on reverse, "Anson St. 1953. AWR."

The hosue was built for Joseph Legare sometime in 1800 and the marble staircase was added by a later owner, Benjamin Howland after 1838.
