John Wulbern

Description:

Daguerreotype of a young soldier identified as Private John Wulbern. The German Artillery uniform he wears is hand-painted a bluish-gray and trimmed in red. A handwritten note found in the case reads, "maternal grandfather, John (Johann) Wulbern (daughter Lillian Wulbern married O.J. Muller) German Artillery uniform." Wulbern was a private in Captain Wagener's company, Co. A, in the German Light Artillery.
