Photograph of the kitchen/laundry building second floor revealing ghosting of shelving and closet partitions between the east and west bedrooms where enslaved people once lived and labored at 87 Church Street. Bayless took the image during the archaeological dig conducted by Museum archeaologist, Elaine Herold. Photographer's handwritten notation on reverse, "Heyward-Washington, Kitchen, 2nd Floor, Ghosting of Closet Partitions & shelving between rooms, on North Wall, from West Room."
