Description:
Photograph showing the second story window into the slave quarters on the east wall of the kitchen/laundry building. The angle reveals the height of the wall in this section extends higher than the wall surrounding the majority of the property. Bayless shot the image from the rooftop of the storage shed during the archaeological dig conducted by Museum archaeologist, Elaine Herold. Photographer's notation on reverse, "Heyward-Washington, Kitchen, East Wall Detail, Second Floor."
