One of two southern bald eagle (Buteo swainsoni) eggs collected from the Auld's plantation, also known as Christ Church Parish, Charleston county, South Carolina (see CBE894-CBE895). The clutch had been freshly laid when it was collected in January 1920 by A.T. Wayne. The clutch was later acquired by Alexander Sprunt, Jr. who noted: "nest in a gigantic pine about 59 feet from ground. Made of sticks in a crotch formed by four limbs."
