Description:

A metamorphic rock made up of very fine-grains and green with white spots of quartz. One side had been cut smooth. This rock is a sample of metamorphosed basaltic lava whose greenish hue is imparted by microscopic crystals of chlorite. Collected 8 miles south of Winnsboro along highway 321, circa 1972.
