Fratercula cirrhata, Puffin egg
Description:
A tufted puffin (Fratercula cirrhata) egg collected from Farallon Island off the coast of San Francisco. Collector H.C. Johnson noted it was collected shortly after it was laid and it was "deposited in burrow in the rock." Later acquired by Arthur Trezevant Wayne.
