Fratercula arctica, Puffin egg
Description:
A common puffin (Fratercula arctica arctica) egg collected from Grimsey in northern Iceland by W.F. Palsson. Palsson noted it was freshly laid at time of collection and it "was in a deep hole burrowed by the bird in a turf covered island. Eggs rested on some dead grass and moss."
