Description:
Photograph of Fort Sumter mounted on a cardstock frame. Photographer's mark printed on lower left, "Copyright Clarke's Studio Charleston, S.C.'" with caption printed at bottom, "Fort Sumter Charleston, S.C." Clarke shot the image from a boat in the harbor and captured a large dock and the lighthouse and fog bell to the far right. A graphite drawing of a portion of the fort is visible in the right lower corner.
