Description:
Sepia photograph of beach goers playing baseball on Folly Beach. A woman is using a cut piece of wood for a bat and is preparing to swing at a baseball that a young boy has just pitched to her. A man and woman are in the background as outfielders and a woman stands behind the batter as the catcher. Paine has captured the baseball in mid-air as it makes its way toward the batter. He noted on reverse, "Pitch - Folly, 1937 Paine - Photo."
