Description:

Sepia photograph of the land side entrance to the Lynch House at Fairfield Plantation. A man and woman are pictured conversing on the porch and two automobiles are visible to the left. The photographer printed on the bottom, "Fairfield, South Santee. Built 1737. #11." This can also be viewed in the Laura Bragg Photograph Album,1978.78.125.

The image was taken during the 18th annual meeting of the American Association of Museums held in Charleston that coincided with the 150th Anniversary of the founding of The Charleston Museum. Then Director, Laura Bragg arranged for tours of various sights and plantations around the Lowcountry.
