Photograph of the front entrance of the old Charleston Museum during an "Open House" event. The photographer captured the United States Navy Band Brass Quintet performing on the front portico.

The Museum held an open house from October 26 to November 5 in which staff members took visitors behind the scenes to show them the need for a new building. Voters were to decide whether to approve a million dollar bond issue for the Museum's new building plans on November 5. The brass quintet of the Navy Band performed on Saturday (October 26) and Sunday (October 27).
