A newspaper article is glued to the back beside handwritten notations, "Sprunt 1 Chamberlain 1 Getning 1 Larry 5." The article was published under "Woods and Waters" in the "Charleston News and Courier" on April 27, 1932 and describes a trip made to Cumberland Island in Georgia concerning "an encounter with a mother alligator."
