Description:

Watercolor study on paper depicting a panoramic view of the Cooper River Bridge from Remley's Point. The study is conveyed using different shades of blue and appears to be an experiment with the paint's effect on this type paper. Ball tries a variety of strokes and concentrations of pigment. The supports of the bridge and the sketches of ships at the bottom are in pencil with no watercolor pigment applied. The ship sketch on the far right has writing on it to label regions of color. It reads: "Copper River Bridge - from Remley's Point // white // green // 3 white // green // whi // red // green in there."
