One of four marsh hawk (Circus cyaneus hudsonius) eggs collected from Rock county, Minnesota (see CBE896 - CBE899). The clutch had been slightly incubated before it was collected in June 1921 by Dr. E. Langevin. Dr. Langvin noted the nest as made of "...grass at edge of swamp. Composed of grass and stems." The clutch was later acquired by Alexander Sprunt, Jr.

Original set mark: 23/4, Langevin collection.
